Clariant Wax PE520 is a low-density polyethylene wax with branched chains synthesized under low pressure, with an average molecular weight of approximately 2300. Due to its excellent oxidation resistance, pure white appearance, and absence of fish eyes, it is an ideal carrier for color masterbatches and functional masterbatches in polyolefins. For polar plastics, since PE520 is incompatible with these materials, it serves as an efficient external lubricant.

(2) In the plastics industry, the most important application of Clariant Wax PE520 is in the production of color masterbatches and functional masterbatches, with its usage continuously increasing. It can be used as a standalone carrier or as a dispersant in certain proportions to reduce the viscosity of masterbatches, especially in polyolefin masterbatches.

(3) Clariant Wax PE520 offers high oxidation resistance, completely free from fish eyes, and has a pure white appearance, making it widely used in the market with a high market share.

(4) Clariant Wax PE520 is fully suitable for pigment masterbatches used in polyolefin coloring. As a polyethylene wax, it is compatible with high-density and low-density polyethylene, as well as some polypropylene.

(5) Pigment masterbatches containing Clariant Wax PE520 have no impact on the mechanical properties of polyethylene.

(6) Compared to other types of polyethylene waxes, Clariant Wax PE520 has good thermal stability. In practical applications, it improves pigment fastness and is odorless during melting.

Product Applications:

1. Used to adjust the flowability of polyolefins without affecting their mechanical properties. Adding 0.5 phr of PE520 can double the melt flow index (MFI). Clariant Wax PE520 is also used as a lubricant in physically stretched low-density polyethylene, with an addition amount of 1-2%.

2. In ABS and PS with inorganic flame retardants, adding 1-2 phr of PE520 can increase flowability and address issues of machine wear.

3. In the recycling of PA waste in textiles, adding 5-15 phr of PE520 during processing in injection molding machines for reuse.

4. It can smooth the surface of profiles without affecting their welding strength, even with high concentrations of pigments and fillers.
